The Following message was posted by West Star Aviation CEO Jim Rankin
Dear West Star Customers:
As you may know, the Governor of Illinois issued a “Shelter-in-Place” order which started Saturday 3/21/20 for all non-essential personnel, in an effort to slow the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus in the state.
Rest assured, West Star Aviation’s business is considered essential and we are fully-operational, with adjustments being made for those personnel who are able to work remotely. These adjustments, along with increased safety measures already in place at our East Alton, IL (ALN) facility, allow us to provide our employees and customers the safest environment possible and the ability to complete and continue projects on your aircraft.
Our other full services facilities located in Grand Junction, CO (GJT), Chattanooga, TN (CHA), and Perryville, MO (PCD), do not currently face any restrictions of this type. These locations are also fully-operational with the same increased safety measures enacted in East Alton.
If it is helpful, please know that you can deliver your aircraft to our facility any time prior to its scheduled arrival date. We can store your aircraft at our facility and our personnel can perform any storage-related maintenance. This pre-positioning service is available to you at no additional charge.
And, should you have an unexpected need for your aircraft prior to the start of its scheduled service, we will facilitate its return to service.
If you are staying with your aircraft, we will make sure you are well cared for in terms of lodging and meals. Similarly, if you are returning home after dropping it off, we will make sure there is transportation to do so.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and update you as needed. Please feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns you may have. We value your business and we appreciate your continued support in these unprecedented times.
Jim Rankin
CEO
West Star Aviation
